Using Google docs with Safari

February 3, 2007

After reading this blog about using Google docs I’d thought I give it a go.

However this is what I got when I tried ;-(

Still at least Google have a sense of humour!

I wonder what the problem with safari is… As far as I can tell css/xhtml on the current version of safari renders almost exactly as it does in firefox 2.0. After actually looking at Google Docs there’s an awful lot of javascript being used there, perhaps that’s the problem? I’m intrigued, I’ve never noticed a lot of difference between Camino/FireFox2/Safari on my mac, much less a site that explicitly doesn’t load on safari…

I hope it’s just a testing issue, ie. that haven’t got round to testing it on Safari yet. But like u I doubt they will any problems. I briefly tried &browserok=true and didn’t experience any problems.

Google are being more Apple proactive… they even have an Official Google Mac Blog”
